In tropical seas, flying fish leap out of the water, gliding for up to 200 meters
using wing-like fins, before dipping back into the sea. In the Indo-Pacific, a hunting sailfish can reach speeds
of 110 kilometers per hour. Thats 11 times faster than Olympic
swimming champion Michael Phelps. It can then stick up its spiny dorsal fin
like a brake, grinding to a dead halt, mid-swim.
Each of these physical feats is made
possible by a fishs form, which in most species is a smooth,
elongated body, fins, and a tail. These features are shared across thousands
of fish species, each introducing its own variations on
the theme to survive in unique habitats. What makes these features so
commonplace in fish, and what does it reveal about the more
than 33,000 fish species that inhabit earths rivers,
lakes, and seas? Fish can be split into two main groups, according to the type
of motion they favor. The first is body
and caudal fin driven motion, and most fish species, about 85%,
fall into this group.
Here, the body and tail
are the primary propelling forces, with fins mainly playing
a stabilizing and steering role. This configuration suits
many open-water species, which need speed, thrust and control for
constant, efficient swimming. Eels lie at one extreme of this group. Known as anguilliform swimmers, their entire bodies undulate to generate
a wave-like motion.
Compared to anguilliform fish, species like salmon and trout,
known as subcarangiforms, use about two-thirds of their body mass
to generate motion, while carangiform swimmers,
such as mackerel, only use about a third. Typically, the less of its mass a fish
uses to generate motion, the more streamlined its shape. At the other end of the spectrum from eels
are ostraciiform species like boxfish, and thunniform swimmers like tuna. In these fish, the tails,
also known as caudal fins, do the work.
A tunas tail is attached by tendons
to multiple muscles in its body. It powers the body like an engine, forcefully catapulting
the bullet-like fish to speeds up to 69 kilometers per hour. The second major fish group relies
on median and paired fin motion, meaning theyre propelled through the
water predominantly by their fins. Fins allow fine-tuned movement
at slow speeds, so this propulsion
is typically found in fish that have to navigate complex habitats.
Bottom-dwelling fishes, like rays,
fall into this group; using their huge pectoral fins, they can
lift themselves swiftly off the sea floor. That conveniently allows them
to inhabit shallow seas without being buffeted about by waves. Similarly, shallow-water flatfish
use their entire bodies as one big fin to hoist
themselves up off the sand. Ocean sunfish lack tails, so they move around slowly by beating
their wing-like median fins instead.
Similar movements are shared
by many reef species, like the queen angelfish, surgeonfish, and wrasse. Their focus on fins has taken
the demand off their bodies, many of which have consequently
evolved into unusual and inventive shapes. There are fishes within both groups
that seem to be outliers. But if you look closer, youll notice that these
common traits are disguised.
Seahorses, for instance, dont appear
fish-shaped in any conventional way, yet they use their flexible
dorsal fins as makeshift tails. A pufferfish may occasionally
look more like a lethal balloon, but if it needs to swim rapidly,
itll retract its spines. Handfish look like they have legs, but really these limb-like
structures are fins, modified to help them
amble across the sea floor. For fish, motion underpins survival, so its become a huge evolutionary
driver of form.
The widespread features of fish
have been maintained across tens of thousands of fish species, not to mention other
ocean-dwelling animals, like penguins, dolphins, sea slugs, and squids. And thats precisely because
theyve proven so successful..

Top 5 Captive Bred Marine Fish for Your Nano-Reef Aquarium
Hey everyone, this is Ike from Current-USA and today we're going to show you the top five recommended captive bred marine fish for your nano-reef aquarium. A concern for many aquarists today is not only where their fish came from, but how were they collected. Were they net caught? Were they tank raised? Or were they captive bred? Choosing captive bred fish, especially for your nano-reef aquarium is setting you up for success and it helps take pressure off wild populations. Captive bred Clown Fish not only acclimate better to aquariums, they've been around fish their whole life, so they get along very well with other fish and they're used to humans.
Humans come every day to feed them dry foods and artificial foods, so they're well acclimated to the foods you're going to be feeding them. They're overall less stressful and they'll live longer, giving you greater success in your reef aquarium. In today's video, we're going to show you the top 5 captive bred marine fish for your nano-reef aquarium. And if you've already seen these fish, you may want to stick around because at the end of the video we're going to give you a sneak peek at some of the new captive bred fish coming out to our industry.
Clownfish, especially the Ocellaris Clownfish, continue to be one of the most popular marine fish for aquarists at all levels. Most species of Clownfish are great for nano-aquariums as they stay small in size, they occupy a very small territory of your aquarium and they remain peaceful. Being captive bred, Clownfish are now available in many designer colorations and many captive bred species are readily available to hobbyists. Clownfish are just a great personable fish to keep.
There is one species you need to be a little careful with which is the Maroon Clowns. The Maroon Clowns grow up to six inches long which is a little too big for a nano-reef aquarium. So if you're going to get one of the species of Maroon, make sure you have a larger aquarium. Cardinal Fish are another amazing captive bred fish we highly recommend for larger sized nano-reef aquariums.
They're a very slow moving, methodical fish and they'll stay active in the middle to upper top of your aquarium. They do extremely well with other fish and they're very peaceful. The two most common captive bred species are the Pajama Cardinal and the Bangai Cardinal. Pajama Cardinals often do best in schools and if you keep multiple fish, they will set up a small hierarchy within your aquarium.
Bangai Cardinal fish are a fascinating success story for our industry. Threatened by over collection, it became the perfect candidate for captive breeding and are now being aquacultured successfully in Indonesia. They can be a little more aggressive than the Pajama Cardinal fish and males can be especially aggressive towards one another, so it's best to keep a mated pair or keep one of them. They are also very easy to breed and the males are actually mouthbrooders and will hold the eggs in their mouth until the eggs are ready to hatch.
There are many species of captive bred Blennies that are available to aquarists today, but most of them hide within your rock work. One exception is the new Kamohara Blenny available from ORA. This hardy, attractive fish was once only available in Japan and is now being aquacultured. This is a very energetic and active fish.
It actively moves throughout your tank all day long, hunting for small crustaceans or places to hide at night. It's one fish we'd highly recommend for you as it's peaceful and it's gotten along with everything in our reef tank. Like Clownfish, Cleaner Gobies are one fish that's been captively bred for many, many years and is almost a must for any reef aquarium. These fish eat parasites off of other fish and will help keep your other tank inhabitants healthy.
They stay very small and grow under two inches in length and are very docile. Since they clean other fish with parasites, they get along with virtually every species of fish and they're recognized as a cleaner fish. In aquariums, they will also eat small bits of frozen and dry aquarium foods. Two of our favorite captive bred Gobies are the Shark Nosed Goby and the Neon Goby.
Dottybacks are another captive bred fish that are excellent for nano-reef aquariums. In the wild you'll find them darting in and out of the rocks and under ledges looking for food. They are a very hardy fish and are quiet easy to keep and have very feisty personalities. It's usually best to keep one or add multiple small ones at a same time to create a harem of breeding fish.
They're available in a wide variety of colors and varieties. Our two favorites are the Orchid Dottyback and the Indigo Dottyback. Both of these are brilliant purple color and you can even get them in the Electric Indigo Dottyback which is a crossbreed of these two species. Without a doubt, the more species of captive bred fish you keep in your aquarium, the more success you're going to have.
And the great thing about our hobby is every year we're seeing more and more species come out that have been aquacultured. So what species can we expect in the next year that will become more readily available to us? We recently got a sneak peek at some baby captive bred Coral Beauty Angelfish, Mandarin Gobies that actually eat flake food and some new Aptasia eating Filefish. Thanks so much for watching our video and we hope that this inspires you to keep one of these fascinating captive bred fish in your nano-reef aquarium. If you're looking for more information on captive bred fish, ORA is a great resource and we've provided a link for them in the section below.

These Fish Are All About Sex on the BeachDeep Look
This baby fish is stuck. Its ready to hatch, to swim out into the
open sea. So how did it get here - stranded up on the
sand? It all started two weeks ago, when its parents
left their watery home for an adults-only beach party. During the very highest tides, California
grunion ride in on the waves to get as high up on the beach as possible.
The females start digging with their tails,
burrowing down to lay thousands of eggs under the wet sand. The males cruise the beach, searching for
females. Not super easy when youre literally a fish
out of water. When they meet up, the males wrap themselves
around the females and fertilize the eggs.
Its a real scene... Then, when theyre done, they catch a wave
back home. This whole awkward affair is risky for the
parents - and for the eggs. Up on the beach, theyre all on their own,
completely out of their element.
But grunion eggs are tough. The outer membrane, called a chorion, protects
them from drying out and keeps them from getting crushed. And thats good because theyre going
to be on the beach for a while. But thats the whole idea.
The ocean is full of predators looking to
gobble up a tasty fish egg. Growing up in this sandy nursery gives baby
grunion an advantage. Though nowhere is truly safe. But fish still need water, so these eggs cant
hatch any old time.
If they did, theyd suffocate in the dry
sand. So they have to time it perfectly, waiting
for the gravitational pull of the sun and moon to line up, creating an extra high tide,
which only happens twice a month. The baby grunion wait for the signal: the
waves. The cold seawater jostles them, telling them
its time to hatch.
But the grunion still have to break out of
their tough eggs before the tide recedes. So they release special enzymes from their
tail that eat right through the chorion. They come bursting out. And swim for their lives, as the waves sweep
them out, into the briny deep, where they belong.

Surf Fishing Catch fish in MINUTES!
Have you gone by the sea? I put my whole heart in it What's goin' on guys? Welcome to a new episode of Fishing with Senko Skipper! I let her do my intro! Ha ha ha! So we're both from Columbia, Maryland, and we're driving to Rehoboth Beach Delaware! For a lil' mini vacation. Whoo! I'm going to be doing some saltwater and some freshwater fishing. We'll see! Ha ha, we'll see... We'll see which one! Or both...
'Kay. Today we're fishing at, um, Rehoboth Beach I'm here with my girlfriend, Erin, turn around and say hi to the camera. And, uh, I'm going to show you a very simple way to start catching fish on the surf. Uh, you're going to only need 3 things: a surf rod, a surf reel, and, uh, a down rig.
Oh, four things: and blood worms, or whatever kind of bait you want to use. Bloodworms and, um, cut bunker, those are always- those will always catch you something. Um, I've got, I've got my down-rig set up with bloodworms on here right now, and, um, don't know what I'm going to catch, and that's the fun part. I got a fish! I got a fish!! What is this? Mystery fish? And it's a shark of some sort? Sand shark...
Hahaha! What is this? This is what I like about surf fishing you never know what you're gonna catch. Look at how tiny this guys is! Hah! Hold 'em! Woah, look at his tail! Wow! I have no idea what kind of---! I have no idea what kind of fish this is... So, if anyone knows just let me know, comment below! Look at this tail! It looks crazy... Alright so this morning was a, pretty much a dud with the blood worms...
The bloodworms kept getting eaten up real quick so, So I went and got some... Squid for bait. And, uh, this should stay on a little better. Same kind of fish will bite it.
But this, this won't fly off during the cast. Oooh... Look at the bait! Ew! Haha! That was too close to my face... Hah! And this is how I cut it up, I'm just going to get little strips...
Little strips of it like this... See? Easy. Put it on my Sabiki... Ooh! Got one! Here, here, here! Aw, it might be gone, reel it, just reel it! Keep reeling it! (Oh, I feel it!) Keep reeling it! It's the same thing! It's the same thing? Are you sure? I'm sure! Why are there so many of these out there? Alright, let's catch something not that again, Erin, I want to catch something, not a shark! So, the squid is working a lot better than the bloodworms, um, in that it won't fly off the, the hook when I'm casting it.
It's harder for fish to, uh, nip off all the squid, it's a lot easier to get all the bloodworms off. So, I'm pretty much sold on the squid. Been catching nothing but these dogfish, the smooth dogfish. I think they're also called nurse sharks, I'm not sure...
But I'm going to try and hook up on something else. Ah, it's a different fish! Ha ha ha! What is that? This is a king fish. King fish. Yup! We can eat this! See? It's a mystery every time, I don't know what I'm going to catch! No, oh, oh I think I got a bite...
Ooh, I got one! Haha! I got one! Oh, I got a flounder! Whoo-hoo-hoo-hoo-hooo! Haha! Yeah! Nice! Woah! Two eyes on one side! Look at this! Aha ha ha ha!! You look weird, man! You're a weird kinda guy! So the squid is working actually much better than the, the bloodworms. Caught another new species today! That's three species of fish with the squid. Isn't that a weird looking fish? Check it out- oh! Ahh! You see how the flounder blends in with the sand? (Yeah!) It's completely camouflaged, just about, and when, uh, fish swim over top of it, it'll ambush it! And, uh, that's why they're flat! That's why they're flat and this color. Where'd it go? There! Yes! Yes! Bring it in! I don't know what-- I have no idea what this is! This is a lot bigger...
Aw, it's off! No ohhh!! That was huge! What do you think it was? I have no idea! That's the worst part of fishing. Is not knowing what that was-- that one fish that you caught... ...That you hooked... ...
And that's what keeps me up at night, and that's what wakes me up in the morning to go fishing again. Ha ha ha ha! That thing was-- that thing was big! I knew it would get off- I knew the surf would take it out! I have such a small hook on here... I was not ready for that... Anyways, the squid works a lot better than the bloodworms.
The decision is unanimous. You-na-mi-neous. You-na-no-mi-neous. Oh my god, something big, Erin! I got something big! See it at the surface? Something big, yo! It's something big! Don't lose it, don't lose it! It's got a spikey-ass tail, don't get whipped by that, it's going to hurt, Steve Irwin didn't even, he couldn't even say "that hurt," he just died...
Ahh! Oww! That really hurt! Alright, wrapping up here guys, uh, I just got kicked off the beach, apparently you're not allowed to fish on the beach... Didn't know that... But I caught a good amount of fish! 4 Or 5 different species on this same rig, all on the squid, it was awesome, If you like what you saw, please like, subscribe, comment, you know, do your thing. Uh...
Do your thing. Do ya thang. Uhh, thanks for watching, guys! .

Spicy Fish & ChipsShelina Permalloo
Hi I'm Shelina and today I'm gonna show you how to make a really delicious spiced up fish n chips. Using my heritage which is from Mauritius, I'm going to show you how to make really lovely sea food taste incredible just using a few simple spices, and I've tried to make this healthy, faster and cleaner to eat. I'm new to the channel and if you
like my spicy fish n chips just give me a thumbs up. So for me, I absolutely love Sea Bream - you can definitely use any fish of your choice.
I just love the shape and I love the
texture when it's cooked. And it really holds its flavour as well. So the first thing that we need to do is we've taken this fish and we've had it cleaned at the fish monger. Don't bother getting messy at home.
So you can see it's been descaled and the fins are removed as well. And the guts removed. So all I'm going to do is put sort of three to five slashes depending on
how big the fish is. And this is to let the marinade really permeate all the way through the fish.
And then our marinade. So, what we're
gonna do is take a hundred millilitres of yoghurt, a good whack of garam masala. Now this stuff is potent. If you like it hot - add all of it.
If you're
a bit worried - maybe half a teaspoon, but this Kashmiri chilli powder A lovely teaspoon of paprika. Whack it with some seasoning and you can see it kinda looks like a
tandoori paste, that's kinda what I'm going for and what we doing here - mixing it all
together and it's bright red. Delicious. Now what we need to do: to get
the marinade straight in there we're just gonna rub it straight in.
You know when you have fish n chips you have that wonderful batter. It's kinda of me trying to recreate this, and look at that colour - it looks amazing. Make sure you get inside the cavity as
well. Flip it over and do the same on the other
side.
Now the great thing about this it's a
speedy marinade, so this takes 20 minutes. As the fish is marinating we're gonna get onto our spicy chips. We're going to take a big bowl, and what we're going to do literally is chop them in half and we're gonna make some really chunky wedges. King Edward are a good choice of potato if you're roasting, and also for mash, but here they also allow you to get that really crispy outer edge, and it goes all
nice and mushy and soft inside.
We're not going to use that much oil. All we're using it to do is to adhere the spices to it. So the spices I'm going to use is a little bit of paprika, and then cumin. I don't know what it is
about cumin.
I. Love cumin. Again, some salt, going to season that up and then we're just gonna toss them all up, give them a good mix and those are ready for the oven. The great beauty about this dish is that it's a one tray bake.
So we want to put the potatoes in first, as the fish is marinating, and its gonna go into the oven at 180
degrees for around 15 to 20 minutes lovely Right, so these wedges have been in for 10 minutes and the fish is now has around 20
minutes to marinade and all we're now gonna do is place the fish straight in here, take our fish and that
now goes in for a further 20 to 25 minutes. You want it
all nice and crispy now that fish n chips are in the oven we can get on with our really
delicious low-fat and healthy tartar sauce, now traditionally
it's used with a kind of good quality mayonnaise, but I'm using a low-fat creme fresh and what we're gonna add to it is some gherkins, a bit fresh coriander, some chili and lime, that's our key
ingredients, we're just doing a bit chopping now what I love so much about this tartar sauce is it's fresh it's fragrant you know what, it really is for me a
little bit of a taste of Mauritious. The pressure We use a lot of coriander, lots of chili
and lots of lime in our food and it's gonna take us all the way back
to chillin on a beach having a bit of a fish barbecue so now we've got a coriander in there with
the creme fresh, the gherkins, basically what we're trying to do is balance all the flavors: we've got loads of spice going on in our fish n chips, and this
is gotta be like fresh a little bit kinda punchy and the real
thing is the lime its gonna really just lift up the whole dish Chile - completely depends on taste, I like
mine spicy, so I'm gonna use half a chili Now we're gonna go over to lime give it a good old roll about, slice it
diagonally, and this helps to get all the juices out actually just in half a lime and then finally a good whack of seasoning and
that looks beautiful and smells amazing so that's
pretty much it we just gonna wait for the fish to come
out, so I'm gonna get my plate and decorate it and make it nice and pretty You gotta think about presentation and I
think in terms of color hair I'm gonna use some lime, cos I'm gonna squeeze it on the food afterwards a little bit more chili and then I love more coriander it's completely up to you what you wanna
garnish with Perfect, that smells incredible, that's been in the oven now for 25 minutes the fish has got really crispy, the
potatoes look delicious so what we're gonna do is just slide this
straight on our platter so everyone can get stuck in And now I'm just gonna garnish it with the limes and chili So this is my spiced up fish and chips
with a twist on a classic tartar sauce, it's
ready All we need to do is shove it on a platter, put in the middle on the table and everyone just gets stuck in Oh, that's good The potato wedges are so crispy and loads of lovely spice on it and fish just looks incredible, let's
give a taste Honestly, it's tender, it's succulent the skin has got all the major spices
runnig through it, and its crispy and it's not too hot - it's just mellow and
it's beautiful. So if you like this recipe, give me
a thumbs up and if you wanna see me cook again in
the future, if you write your suggestions in the comments box and let me know what you'd like to see me cook And don't forget to subscribe, because
it's free.

SHOPPING FOR NEW FISH!!!
I need it I. Need you it's beautiful I'm taking you guys miss shopping with me today because I think I'm gonna start working on the Asian aquarium over the next few weeks, or a few days really but I'm in the mood to go shopping for some fish luckily I've got a hundred gallon aquarium sitting here empty that I'm gonna be able to use this quarantine system So if I do find anything and the tanks are not ready, I'll be able to house them anyways and hold them temporarily And of course we're coming back to one fish two fish here in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia Hmm More on that in a minute, I don't know if I'll actually buy anything while here, but you guys know me I simply like to shop around Look at what's available And you know I've truly feel at home and in a fish store like this and just a round fish in general Really so after a quick look around the store. There's nothing that I need Right now or nothing that's gonna suit what I need right now probably got to put an order in but there are a few things that have caught in my eye where I've caught my eye and a few things that stood out that I don't need but I kind of want But I don't know let me show you a few things This is the same type of Asian Arowana that I have I've been watching him for a while Nobody's bought him and you know it's kind of making me want him even more You know take him home type of thing, but yeah, it is an ultimate blood Asian, Arowana, I'm rarely on grade Beautiful stunning fish. It's a little bit bigger than mine if I got hit mine my two would fight Probably so if I got him I'd probably have to get this one now the lights in here are a little blue but this is a panda cross-back supreme so basically like a really nice fish that's gonna turn a little blue and You know really gold especially across its back now I had a panda gold before it was one of my first Asian, Arowana And they grow to be absolutely stunning one of the things that I find they're really well known for is You know perfect body shape and of course I know for many of you.
It's really easy to say Joe We just get another one get another one well that one's about $2,000 and the red is about $3,000 so we're talking five thousand dollars for two fish tough pill to swallow but I'll try to baby something big these little coy angels also caught my eye Really pretty love their patterns but you know I already got a bunch of Platinum's with that said I'm kind of liking this little black one here the black and white Really cute. I of course the the the coy portion comes out in you know having three colors usually But I don't know I really like these black and white ones that I think they would contrast and really stand out with the Platinum's That I already have but these guys are much smaller than the ones I have but you know. I'm thinking about it and of course By me thinking by me thinking about it means I'm probably going to buy a lot of stuff by impulse I'm gonna try to hold back Because I do have some specific plans one of them is to get some coal draw me for that Asian tank leave it or not where are they you're such a Beginner type fish and in fact was one of the first community fish I ever had But in my opinion is one of the most underrated fish absolutely stunning makes a fantastic community fish now I don't know what you guys think should I go with you know just do a Gourami tank all the different species they technically are from you know different parts of Asia Or should I go with something different? You know maybe I should wait to see what you guys say in the comments section below these rants bors These are the SBS they do look Pretty amazing let me see if we can get actually get in there and see them yeah, they're a little panicked right now, but They look just like the Harlequin grass bora one of the massive difference That's also a fish that I was considering putting in there as well Yoji, it's actually a bunch of you know almost beginner style community. Type fish that are all from Asia Why why wouldn't I get something more exotic? I truly want you guys to be able to do this and maybe grab some Inspiration from it with that said I always get some amazing comments and suggestions from you guys as well So make sure you leave me some in the comment section below because then I certainly appreciate it little silver, Arowana up in here They're always cute at this size those guys get to 4 feet long though They're the cheap is there I wanna you can buy but beginning to you know 4 feet long is a massive fish And I don't think a lot of people are really Prepared for that then this is another one look at this.
This is a tinfoil barb So next time you go And buy these guys realize how big they get now if you had 5 or 6 of these at this size I definitely picked them up a little baby Oscar. This is like a long fin really cute oh He's got some peacock bass in here Get three four of them. I wonder. It's got some good-sized piranhas in here these are nice As some bikers in here these will be the Senegal's these guys stay relatively Smaller compared to a lot of the other bikers, so if you're looking to get one.
This is probably one of your better choices nice big parrot big jack dempsey always attractive to the bigger fish Africans up here He's gonna look at the floor look at the size of these guys. These are red Billy saying in the size alone Yeah my mouth Yeah, saying if he's trying to get me to buy them some clown loaches to Nice size nice and active nice dark coloration these guys will look a lot better on a lighter substrate though clown knife This black ghost Another one over here oh and another one over there Maybe I should start buying all these baby monsters and grow them out for the 2020 guys thing a little sidebar. I'm I'm buying all kinds of fish that I don't need and probably not gonna have room for I. Think I'm going to start needing somebody to come with me to the pet stores and Slap my hands when I say I want Beckett So corridor then here over here For those that have been following me for a while now you remember that I did a store tour of this exact store I think it was a couple of years ago And you'll remember this exact point of view you'll also remember the guy that I did that tour with that was actually a store employee By the name of Matthew Hume now.
He's he's actually owned his own pet stores in the past He's been a staple in the local coffee for many years working at almost every pet store there was in Nova Scotia So he's very well known Unfortunately over the past few months and even a few years. I believe it was his his wife was diagnosed with cancer, and it wasn't too long ago that she passed away and Left Matt and his three young children Behind now Jeff the store owner of this store has started up a GoFundMe to try to help raise money for him Because you know it's gonna be hard for him especially with young children but he also wanted to do something else a little more personalized for his good for his customers, so he is Doing a raffle here at the pet store third place is a two hundred dollar gift card to the store second place 300 all our gift card to the store Tickets are only $10 each the grand prize being a tour of my aquarium gallery I'm gonna leave all the details in the description below Just so I don't mess anything up But the way it will work is whoever gets the grand prize will be picked up at this store You're not being flown in we're not going to get you This is probably gonna be best for local people within the surrounding provinces however, if you want to fly in and meet at the store feel free to do so But you'll be picked up at this store We'll take you to my house where I'll give you a tour of the gallery in person you'll be the first person to ever do that and processive quite possibly the last Then we're gonna go for dinner And it's just gonna be like a one-on-one type of thing you meet Jeff and you can bring one so it'll be you plus another And I thought that was one of the most meaningful things that I could do to help the to help Matt Oh, and his family. Oh and 100% of the proceeds are going to Matt and his children I'm not being paid for this in any sort of way I just thought that this was going to be something that we can all do to help Matt out in this difficult time Now to purchase your tickets you can come right into the store and buy them right here, or you can call the store And with a credit card or whatever and do it that way I'm gonna leave all the details all the information in the description below Even if you don't plan on you know winning anything, or you can't do anything, please support it I think it's a great cause and again 100% of the proceeds Goes to Matt and his family of young children when I come to the pet store We usually need a pause I buy so much fish that I don't need I'm actually not buying any of the fish that I came here for there's not enough of what I want or what I'm looking for But me coming to a pet store is always Dangerous I need everything okay confession time you guys remember the bonsai trees that I seen here a little while ago This is what inspired me to do my little nano tank with the bonsais Confession is this well first and foremost. They only have one left here as soon as I put that video out They sold out of whom almost right away Which is always good? I love I love to see that sort of thing with that said I'm upset so many of you So what happened was you remember that I set that little nano tank up on my like little work table I drained it and moved it because I needed to move a lot of things around.
I meant to fill it back up Grint the hide for this one I forgot to fill it back up and the entire tank dried out luckily there wasn't any fish in It but all the plants are destroyed. Just try it up into like this potpourri. Type of mix or just all crusty I. Had to admit it at some point and for those that watch my videos all the way through at least you guys will know and You can spread the word, so I don't have to talk about it anymore That's so embarrassing to talk about but I guess moving forward.
I think I'm gonna need a bit of a I Need an assistant. I need it I. Need you it's beautiful. Do you want to come home with me? Maybe we should bring Frank to the store to take you home? Oh? Man this guy's so nice I.
Need you I can't put you in with Frank Frank will kill you, but technically you are way nicer than Frank Poor Frank feel so bad for him and and and he'd kill me if he knew I was looking at other flower horns Or you know even considering getting another one, but I mean that little guy is pretty stunning Let's hold a bet who think I've who thinks I'm gonna buy it here. We got a female flower horn She actually laid eggs in this tank which is interesting. She's got a little bit of a new clump, or cock as they call them Interesting maybe maybe uh Maybe Frank's girlfriend Frank's girlfriend She's not pretty enough for Frank though poor girl spent so much time bagging my fish. I'm trying to go get a haircut once again Coming for one thing and I leave with a box of fish that I wasn't here for but how could I know it? I'm gonna get all of these guys home acclimate them to Their temporary holding tanks and in the near future I'll show you what I got, but I want to make sure these guys are all doing okay.
I want to get them home and So in the near future if you're interested in seeing what I got you know Make sure you do so you don't miss it.
REAL SLIME AQUARIUM HOW TO MAKE A SLIME FISH TANK! So Satisfying!
What is up skye squad its Nicole Skyes welcome back to my channel if you are brand new be sure to hit that subscribe Button down below and become a member of the sky squad if you are already subscribed be sure to turn on those Notifications by clicking that little bell. Today we are going to be making an Aquarium but with slime like full of slime like instead of water the aquarium is going to be slime It's gonna be super cool. I'm super excited. Let's just jump right in to the video Excuse me that was that was a very miniature burp Oh, and hey if you want to see me feed miniature food to my quails go check out my vlog channel We recently changed the name to Skye's family, so yeah, I will leave that link in the description But don't leave yet watch the video first, and then you can leave alright, so I made three Batches of clear slime that's coloured as you can see this one is more like aqua And I think this one's so pretty.
Oh my gosh. I'm so excited to touch it look. It is so look at that color That's my favorite color in the world oh my gosh I just want to be a mermaid and jump in this and live there forever okay bye Then we have some ocean blue, so this is like ocean. This is like Blue, Lagoon, and then this is also ocean I'm curious to see Hopefully this fills my fish tank but by itself umm I have some stuff down here that we'll get to later So I do have a large fish tank that we're going to be filling up We're actually gonna be making SpongeBob's house, but before that oh my God look what I found This is like it couldn't be more perfect.
This was literally the most perfect thing I found for this video. It's a miniature Aquarium and it has all the fish in there And it has a net and a sand castle and plants and it has an aquarium with a background So yeah, we're gonna be filling this one up first So I'm gonna snap my fingers and all of this will be unpackaged so let's go Whoa oh my god, so as I was unboxing this on the back There's this really creepy doll this looks like Annabelle or something ring ring Frank I would not want to be this girl's fish. Girl you need to get your eyebrows micro bladed because what are those? So it looks like there's little notches in this and I think that that's how like the fish are supposed to stay in there cuz I was curious about that so As you can see this has a little notch. I'm just going to put that in the back.
Oh my gosh This is gonna be so awesome and over here. We'll put our green one Aww I love it Hmmm the Sandcastle doesn't have any notches Oh and then we got our shell we'll put the shell oh my gosh my hands are too big for this, so here's our shell and Now we have a starfish Oh my god I love this. Alright now. I'm gonna add my fish now we have a clownfish And then I don't know what this fish is called Leave in the comments down below.
I think this is a yellow a yellow tang yeah. I'm not for sure though Let me know in the comments down below And then finally I don't even know is this based off Is this a blue tang supposed to be oh my gosh that looks super cool? I like this then we have a treasure box over here a sand castle. I think I put the sand castle in there It's going to ruin the fish the fish like the view from the fish We have some fish food because you know these fish gotta eat, okay? And we also have a net Alright, so I'm going to put my tank on the stand and Let's poke some slime and then add some slime inside our aquarium alright, so here is my slime. I haven't poked it yet Oh, my gosh.
Is it gonna stick to me. I don't know I made this like two weeks ago. Oh I made that one. Oh, yeah, you did make that one good job J.
It doesn't stick Awesome. Oh my god its super cool Okay, I'm just gonna grab a big blob and put it in the aquarium. So are you ready? I'm just gonna blob it in there. Oh That looks so cool.
Oh my gosh. Oh my gosh. Oh, I'm getting slime on the front I'm trying to get as least bubbles as I can but I think that's not gonna work, so we'll just pretend that this aquarium Oh my gosh, okay, so here is my fish tank currently now I'm going to let this sit for however long it takes to clear these bubbles so I might come back tonight. I might come back tomorrow I'm eating them My Swedish fish right now true, which is why my mouth sounds full Alright, so as you can see here.
I bought a fish tank so Let's open it up. Here's a lid here's the container and honestly guys I. Personally do not think that a 1.5. Gallon aquarium is big enough to keep any fish So that's just my opinion So yeah, I probably wouldn't buy this first fish just for fun if you want to make a sublime aquarium alright So here is my aquarium.
I think this looks pretty nifty it also came with a filter an LED light, which I thought it looked so cool, oh my gosh the light goes up there that's pretty cool And then what's in this I think this is for the light Yeah, this is the adapter for the light The whisper bio bag so that must mean this filter is super quiet doesn't make a lot of sound Also, you guys I made my betta fish his dream home I wouldn't put my betta fish in this if you want to go watch that you can check it out I will leave the link in the description. It's on my vlog channel Alright, so I'm just going to take off the lid and put my aquarium gravel in there. Oh my gosh, those look like nerds its making me hungry Oh my gosh before we add the plants let's add spongebob are you ready 3 2 1? Wow there's Spongebob Looking all grainy This is not a very high quality spongebob, but spongebob needs a house, so let's give him a house pineapple house Apear Whoa oh my gosh wait that was not the right pineapple that I was trying to get let's try that again pineapple house boom that perfect Perfect baby there. It is so we have spongebob in his house, so we're gonna be making a SpongeBob's lair let me just add the little sponge in there the SquarePants and his pineapple house Oh my gosh that looks so good now.
I'll add some plants Hmm, which one should we use here we go, where should we put it? Behind his house I think All right, so SpongeBob's house actually moved to like a kelp farm, and we just have a lot of plants in there All right, so here is my beautiful aqua teal slime You are so beautiful to me Why are you sticking? I'm going to have to pour some of my darker slime in there We're gonna make like an ombre reverse ombre look Oh my gosh why are you so satisfying and beautiful I can't Ooh shiny That's so pretty can you see me through it? To be like vertical with it Looks cool Another one coming out of the rocks oh my gosh the bubbles the bubble race Gosh who's gonna win Whoa? Get inside. That's that bubble.

It looks like a shark. He's gonna. Be really low by spongebob I.
Can't really see him you have to use your imagination Now you have some trolli octopuses, we'll pretend these are the jellyfish spongebob likes to catch He's a net put his bed in there. Oh my gosh. Yeah, let's put the net in there He's catching jellyfish by his house. Are you guys ready? I'm going to try and put this net by spongebob All right, there's SpongeBob's net it's a little bit bigger than him and here's a jelly looks like a spider That looks cool.

I push all his arms down Oh my gosh I'm so happy with how this turned out okay guys so I added my top light on off on, and now let's see what it looks like that's with it off And that's with it on You can kind of see the pineapple a little bit better. Pier Fishing tips for Beginners Rigging Live Shrimp!
I already did! Didn't I? Did she touch it? I touched it! You gotta touch it again, you both have to
touch it again if you want another picture. I'll touch the skin not the eye. Okay, touch the skin. Show them how to do it! Ready? Touch it, just touch it it's fine.
Ahh! Today we are at Newport Pier in Miami Florida
on a mission to catch some fish for dinner. We will be using live shrimp for bait. We hear that the fish in Florida love eating
live shrimp. So here's the rig.
Egg sinker, swivel, leader line, hook. People seem to really like to use live shrimp
here, and, um, this is the common rig that I've seen, which is just a hook, 2 feet 30
lb. Leader, a swivel, straight to your line. Um, so that's if you just wanna let the shrimp
out free- lining.
Uh, if you wanna put a sinker on it you put
an in-line egg sinker through here and tie that on to your leader. Here, Brendon. So when you are hooking on a shrimp to your
line you need to make sure of two things: make sure the hook isn't too big, you want
the shrimp to be able to swim freely. Do not kill the shrimp! Hook it on top of it's head, not the middle.
Look at this! What is this? Look how flat it is. What is this thing? Woah! Woah!! Turn it front ways again! It's like an optical illusion! What kind of fish is that, do you know? I think it's called a look down. A look down. I'm not 100% sure.
It is one of the strangest fishes I've ever
seen, and this took a live shrimp. Wow, look at that! We didn't want to eat a look down, but my
dad is on something new. Woah! Wow! Now that's a good eatin' fish. This is called a black drum.
They also love shrimp. Basically everything in florida will eat a
shrimp. You know when they say the worst thing that
can happen to you can and will happen to you? Well, it happened. What just happened? It pulled my- something pulled my rod over
the- ha!- My rod is gone.
That's what happened. Yeah, one of his rods, we were just standing
here waiting for a fish to bite his rod and the one that he had out with a live bait just
got pulled over and he lost it. Yeah, something pulled it over! A fish just pulled it over. I had it right here.
No good! You gotta lift this up. That was definitely a fish, right? Sh*t. Must have been a big one because the whole
thing just went *whew*! Rookie mistake... What is that dad? Brendon's dad just hooked up on something.
How do you get him up? Woah! That is a big boy! What is that? Mangrove. What's it called? Mango? Mangrove Snapper. Oh, are they good meat? Oh yeah, they're good eating. Keep it? Yeah, I'm gonna keep it.
That one I'm going to have the restaurant
cook for me. Oh my gosh. Are you guys gonna eat it? Yup. Woah.
What's going on? He's got a big fish. Oh, there's a school out there. Woah! That's a big one! Way out there? Way out there? Live shrimp is working very well, we are getting
lots of bites and it seems like we're catching bigger fish. That's pretty cool lookin'! It's hard to hold.
Woahh. Now this kid is awesome, we noticed that he
was patiently fishing for hours without a single bite. So we decided we should share some fun with
him, and the shock on his face is priceless. It is always nice to see when the younger
generation is showing an interest in fishing.
Woah! Hold the line, hold the line! Go take a picture with your grandma. Look at his human teeth! It's like the sheep head. Sheeps head. Take a picture? Alright, I have no idea what kind of fish
this is, hopefully one of you guys will be able to name it for me.
It's got really weird lookin' teeth, a spot
on it's back, and this is what it looks like. So comment below! Help me out! Live shrimp did the trick today! Live shrimp? Yeah, caught five different species of fish
with the same bait. Definitely the best day, look at this. Oh my.
We're gonna show how we cook it and everything,
too. Hopefully! We're gonna get it cooked and we're gonna
show everyone how we're gonna eat our catch. These are not going to waste! We are now at a Chinese restaurant, called
King's Palace. This place was the bomb.
Located in a small Chinatown in Miami, we
finally found some comfort food. My family can't go a week without Chinese
food, I'm serious. Here, they are asking them to cook our fish. They are asking the chef to prepare two of
them steamed and one of them fried.
Snapper. That's the mangrove snapper, that's the black
drum, and that's the mystery fish with a spot. Black drum, mystery spot fish, we can start
eating. I think the name is really fancy, "mangrove,"
"mangrove." This place is great.
Home cooked place. This is the black drum. It is first steamed, then covered in spring
onions, ginger, cilantro, soy sauce and then it's doused in hot oil. It's a traditional Chinese way of eating fish
and it's my personal favorite.
Wondering, would you guys try it? How does this look to you? Are you ready? I only eat this fresh, ok? I'm not weirdo, but nothing beats a fresh
fish head. Yes, I grew up on fish heads. It's been a long time since I eat one and
I'm gonna totally enjoy this- Eat the lips! Stop talking, eat the lips- Lips? There's no lips, man! What are you talkin' about? Look at that big, fat lip right there! I can't eat this- Yes, you can! It's delicious! Fish lips! Oh! Mmm-mmm. Oh yeah.
What does it taste like? Pudding. So it's more of- the texture is like a pudding-ish,
tender-ish stuff. It doesn't taste anything. So it's more of a texture than a taste.
Yeah, it's a delicacy I guess. It's weird, but... The fish head, it's more of a texture. Yeah.
It's nice and silky and, uh, soft, gelatinous-
mmm, gelatinous, that's the right word. Mission complete. If you like this cooking segment please let
us know below. Do yourself a favor.

touch it again if you want another picture.

TO EAT IF IT JUMPS IN THE WATER THEY CAN FEEL
THE VIBRATION AND THAT'S THE LATERAL LINE. THEY USE A SNOOK HAS IT AND THEY'RE MOST DEFINED
WITH A SNOOK BECAUSE THEY HAVE THAT BIG BLACK. LINE THAT RUNS DOWN 'EM BUT THAT'S A TASTY

I SAY ALWAYS WATCH THAT GILL PLATE NOW LET. ME SHOW YA'ALL ONE THING HERE REAL CLOSE,
IV'E HAD COMMENTS ON THE SHOW OF PEOPLE SAYIN' "OH YOU STUCK YOUR FISH YOUR FINGER IN THAT
FISH'S GILLS" BUT EVER TIME WHAT I'M DOIN' IS I'M COMIN' UP ON THE BOTTOM SIDE OF THE
GILL PLATE RIGHT THERE AND I'LL COME RIGHT. THROUGH THEIR MOUTH WHERE YOU DON'T WANT TO
STICK YOUR FINGER IF YOUR GOING TO RELEASE.
THESE FISH IS RIGHT THROUGH THE GILLS I'VE

IS A PERFECT SPECIMEN OF A TRIPLETAIL NOT. THE GIANTS WE'RE AFTER YET BUT A THAT WILL
DO IF YOU'LL NOTICE HIS LATERAL LINE RIGHT. HERE EVERY FISH HAS THAT AND THEY USE THAT
TO FEEL SHRIMP OR WHATEVER THEY'RE TRYING.
ONE THERE BOY I BET. <GUIDE> OH IT'S GONNA BE GOOD ON THE GRILL.

Learn About Fish for Children with BlippiEducational Videos for Kids
Blippi So much to learn about it will make you want to shout!
Blippi! Wow!
Today were at The Florida Aquarium and this is going to be so much fun! Lets go! Wow, this area you can actually touch
the stingrays with two fingers. Ok? Come on. [Music] I didnt quite get him. Oh, here it is.
I touched him,
and he is really soft. And he kinda has a little mucus
type of feel, really slippery. Oh, look at that one. Hey.
Look. Its a sea turtle. Hi! [Music] This is Tako!
Tako, do you want to dance? [Music] Wow! Look! Uh, look at all the fish.
And did you see that stingray? Wow, there are so many
tropical fish in here. Like that little guy.
Ok, lets go down here. Oh, look. Wow, there are hundreds of them. Look at that angel fish.
Hey! Uh, this is
the black and yellow fish. Hello Wow. Keep coming. Wow, whats in here? Look, they kinda look like rocks.
Do you see those? But they are actually alive.
Ok. What you do right here? I think it's time for a picture. Ok, thank you. Come on.
Its like a tunnel in here. Look at this guy, a stingray! Wow. Wow. I wonder how thick this is.
I bet is like that thick
so it doesnt break. Uh, theres fish up there. Uh, a stingray, look. Right, quick.
Did you see its tail?
That really long tails. Lets go on this side. There is a big shark. [Music] I have a better place
to see all these fish.
Hurry, lets go, quick. [Music] Look at that stingray! (Inaudible) [music] This is a really big aquarium. Uh, its coming close. Look at that one.
[Music] After seeing all different types
of sea creatures under the aquarium, Ive got to go on top of the aquarium
and do something really special. Wow, look at this place! Were on the top of the coral riff
at The Florida Aquarium. This is a little behind
the scenes for you. Ive never been on top
of an aquarium before.
Oh, look at who it is.
Whats your name? - Oh, hi, Im Eric and youre Blippi!
- Yeah, Im Blippi. - (So later is inaudible)
- Yeah, what do you do here? - Im a curator here at The Florida Aquarium.
- Ok. Were on top of the coral riff.
And curators take care animals we give care and its everything
from around the clock health care to guess what? - What?
- Feeding time! - I love food!
- I love food too, its lunch time. - Oh, it is?
- It is, its lunch for the sharks, its like lunch for our pitch turtle
you're going to meet.
For all of the thousands of fish
that are in our environment here - at Florida Aquarium.
- Woohoo, alright. I think its time, lets go! Blippi, were heading over
to the feed station right now and let me introduce you to Elisa. - Hello!
- Hi! How are you? - Good, how about you?
- Good. So were about to feeding
the deep side of our riff tank.
- Ok.
- We have a lot of different fish here. Cause we have a lot of different fish
in the riff that like to eat so right there. Take a good sniff.
Thats a fresh fish there. - Yeah.
- Yum.
Nice big (macro). So, what we have for you
is put on some gloves. Oh, I should have done that first. Its super simple.
Take a big scoop of fish.
You are just going to throw
it out into the riff. And youll see a bunch
of fish come out. - Alright. So, can I try now?
- Yeah, absolutely.
Ok, I think one is all I need. - Big scoop.
- Yeah. Whats in here exactly? So, right there we have some squid, We have some herring. We have clam and (night smelt) - It's a whole mix of different sizes.
- Can I stick a little for myself? - Yeah.
- Lunch its not going to come fast.
Alright, where to? Over this way! Right field.
That's a (inaudible) - Yeah.
- Good job! That looks tasty! It looks like some good squid
and (macro) there. - Yeah. Three, two, one!
- Let it fly! I think you are doing a great job.
Now, lets go down below and see what it looks like to be a fish
under water - watching all that food come down.
- Ok, let's go! Lisa, take us from here! After feeding all of the sea creatures
from above the aquarium, Eric took me back down below
so we can watch all of the sea creatures eat all of the food I just fed them. It was so spectacular.
And then I went on over
to the wet land exhibit. Uh, look, a duck! Its so cute, do you see it? Cuak, cuak, cuak,
cuak, cuak, cuak. Can you make the sound of a duck? Cuak, cuak, cuak. [Music] This area is where they have the otters,
look.
Look at him doing backflips. [Music] This place is so beautiful. Oh, wow. A python! Wow, look how big it is! Geez, thats scary.
Come on. Oh, some cute birds over here. These are spoonbills. And they are white and pink.
Look, he is looking for food. [Music] Wow. [Music] There is a big fish over here,
come on. Those fish are so big.
Wow, get really close.
Can you see it? Such a big fish. And there is some more fish.
Go up really close to the glass. Lets see what else they have here. [Music] I had such a great time
at The Florida Aquarium.
Next time you're in Tampa, Florida,
you can go check out some sea life. Blippi, Blippi Come on, everyone,
let's make learning fun Blippi, Blippi So much to learn about It will make you want to shout!

the stingrays with two fingers. Ok?
Blippi! .
I ADDED THE FISH!!!
You guys ready for this? Hahaha, Today, we stock the 375 gallon planted aquarium with those 200 Rainbow fish. I. Must admit though, it's actually over 200 red, uh, 200 Rainbow fish. About 235.
A few extras were shipped which is a good thing with over 200 fish coming. I'm probably going to have a few dead. These are coming all the way from Bangkok, so they had a really long trip. I really got to get these guys out of the bags however for right now, I will just be floating them, for the time being, to temperature acclimate them to the tank and then we're going to get them out.
Now these guys aren't going to be incredibly colorful right now. They're stressed out. They had a very long trip here. But man do we ever have a really nice home for them to live in, let's take a closer look? So again their colors aren't showing right now, but these are Red Rainbows, 235 of them.
Well their scientific name anyways is Glossolepis Incisus, I believe it's how you pronounce it. You know guys know I'm never good with those. Red Irian Rainbow or Red Rainbow, very popular fish. These guys get like 4 to 6 inches, really big.
And again, I got 235 in here. You know there's about six bags of them all floating with maybe 50 or 60 in each bag. Oh,
and by the way all of these fish, and you can probably assume that all the fish and all the plants moving forward, and what I've already gotten came from Jeff at One Fish Two Fish, my local fish store in Dartmouth. I'll leave a link to his website down below for any Canadians looking for plants and whatnot.
OK, these guys are ready to rock and roll. Now, they are jumpers however what I think I'm going to do is I think I'm going to remove them all from the, or, add a little bit of the tank water to a bucket, remove--- separate the fish from the water that's in these bags. I don't want that water in my tank. I'm going to net the fish and put them in the bucket of tank water.
And once I have them all in we'll dump them all in at once. You know and truly the main focus is just to get them out of these bags as fast as possible. See, what happens in these bags during shipping and, what a lot of hobbyists don't talk about--- Oh wow these guys are beautiful. Oh wait till you guys see where you're gonna go.
What happens during shipping, especially during the very long trips that these guys went through, is as they deplete the oxygen in the bag, the pH of the water drops. And while these guys are in the bag, they're still breathing, they're still producing ammonia but in lower pH's that ammonia isn't that toxic. However once we pop this bag open and release all oxygen into it, gas exchange occurs within the water the pH is going to shoot right back up. And at alkaline levels, ammonia is much more deadlier, which is going to cause a problem.
So you never want to open the bag and float them or anything like that. You float them in a sealed bag, temperature acclimate them then get them out of this water as fast as possible and back into the proper tank. Hopefully this technique works with this many fish. I have a feeling that a few of them are going to want to jump around and jump out of this net but we'll see what happens here.
Probably use a bigger net. Oh I have a bigger net. Having a 2,000 gallon aquarium comes in handy. I forgot all about this.
We're laughing now. Let me see here. I wish I had another set of hands here. Aww, look at them.
They kind of look like sardines. Look at that. Isn't that crazy? They look like they're already darkening up from above. Now, the males will be really red and the females will be more silvery.
Looks like we have a nice mix. You don't want all males, even though they look better, because if they don't have females they won't display to those females, so they'll always you know look kind of drab. I. Can't wait to see them in the tank.
Let's do it. You guys ready for this? Hahahaha, oh man. Here we go. Oh boy, this is insane.
I. Love it. I mean look at them, they're all throughout the entire tank kind of ideal. It's exactly what I wanted to happen.
It almost feels like there's too many. I mean on camera, I don't know if it's capturing the sheer volume of fish in this tank. But let me remind you of two things: one, these guys aren't colored up yet clearly they're still a little bit silvery in color which is fine for like a female for example, but the males are going to turn a dark red. Go ahead and look up Red Rainbow Fish on Google after you're done watching this video, and you'll see what I mean these guys are absolutely stunning.
I mean these guys are only about two inches, two and a half inches something along those lines and they grow to four to six inches long so I mean clearly I probably have too many in here, but again, I could always dwindle the pack down a little bit and you know once these guys settle. I mean this tank is going to be absolutely amazing and the plants start growing in. Dare I say, do we even need anything else on the bottom? Do we need any other fish? I mean, there's already over 200 of these guys. Oh look at this, a couple of them are starting to kind of color up.
You see this guy right here. You know, I love Rays and Arowana, Discus and you know all types of big monster fish, but I can see this tank quickly becoming my favorite. Absolutely stunning. Don't let the color of them right now, you know, depict what you think they're going to look like long-term.
Especially, I'll switch lenses eventually once we get some color in them, and you'll see what they're actually going to look like. Again they're just kind of silvery right now. You know some iridescence to them and whatnot but they are swimming throughout the entire aquarium. They're picking around and enjoying it.
Some are over in the Val earlier. They kind of do follow me around though. But I'll show you something extremely interesting that I was just playing around with a minute ago. This is going to be a...I.
Don't know, coincidental? Or just plain interesting? Watch this stuff. Okay, so you guys know I can control all of the equipment on this tank through this the Ecosmart Live app as well as my desktop, but you know that's not what we're going to get into. I have all of my lights as well as pumps connected. That's the 2000 gallon tank.
Here's the 375, watch this. Now again, I was only kind of messing around with this earlier. So right now everything's at 100% and it's kind of bright. Notice the fish okay? Nothing's changing.
I'm going to go ahead and turn down the blue. Nothing changing in the fish. I'm go ahead and turn down the cool white. Go ahead and turn off the green.
Now we're left with red, hyper red and warm white. Now watch this. This is just insane. See how they're all just throughout the tank? There watch.
Watch this. Just red. Watch what they do. They all school together and go to the end of the tank.
I'm not doing anything differently. Look. They're all over there. Now watch this, turn the green back on, give it some white and blues.
Isn't that insane? I don't know why they do that, with the red coincidentally because they're Red Rainbows. We're still about midday with these guys though so I think I'll probably end up turning the lights down quite a bit just to let them acclimate to the tank. No sense in having a too bright. I'll probably turn them back up here in a second just to capture some more video, but oh we should feed them.
That's what we should do. I don't know if they're going to eat, but I'm certainly going to try. This tank is certainly going to become one of my favorites, but I think that's going to be an ongoing theme. Me saying that, we still have 10 big tanks to go.
I can only imagine what we're going to come up with. I. Hope you guys like this. I hope, I hope you're as excited about this tank as I am.
This....I. Can't be the only one. This is absolutely amazing. I love it.
I love it. I love little fish again..
